Behavioral Health outpatient services are available to adults, adolescents, children, senior citizens and their families. The therapist will work with the client to develop an individualized treatment plan focused on the goals the client desires to accomplish in therapy. Outpatient services include play therapy for children, group therapy, individual therapy, family/couples therapy and medication management. The outpatient department can assist a person with many types of issues including anxiety, depression, substance abuse, life stress and family relationship problems.
Child and Adolescent Outpatient Services
Behavioral Health Services provides professional evaluation, diagnosis and treatment for children and adolescents. Whether your concerns are about your child's development, behavior, emotions, or adjustment at home, school or in the community, the Youth Outpatient Program can provide the direction and support you need. Youth programs are conveniently scheduled to accommodate the demands of school and other activities. The emphasis on group activities allows your child to learn to solve problems as well as interact with a peer group that is supervised by a trained professional.
Acute Partial Hospitalization Programs
Our Acute Partial Hospitalization Programs are intensive, highly structured programs. They are designed to address mental health and substance abuse. These programs are available for children, adolescents and adults. Partial Hospitalization services are designed for people whose symptoms are not severe enough to require inpatient hospitalization, but who need more intensive treatment than outpatient therapy can provide. Depending on the type of issues the client is experiencing; they will attend treatment three or five times per week for several hours each day.
The adult program takes place during the day and usually means the client will not be attending work while they are in the program. The adolescent program is conducted after school to allow the child to continue with regular classroom participation. Both programs use primarily a group therapy approach and are available with a focus on both mental health issues and substance abuse problems. For adults who are dealing with substance abuse, there is also an Intensive Outpatient Program that meets three days per week. This is available with either a morning or evening time schedule. This is to allow participants to continue in their regular employment while they complete their treatment. The children’s program, which is also held after school, uses a treatment approach based primarily on play therapy. These programs are physician- directed with each client meeting weekly with their psychiatrist. The programs meet Monday through Friday and typically last for several weeks.
